Our History
Mighty Goliath Productions began in 1959 as a PTA fundraiser for Eastview Elementary School, in Avon Lake. After two years of Eastview PTA, the members branched out to supporting all PTA’s in the district. Early on, members of MGP wrote, directed, and acted in annual fundraising productions. In 1968, we stepped into the world of traditional book musicals with Li’l Abner. In 1998 Mighty Goliath altered its focus from supporting PTA’s and became a community organization. Since that shift, MGP supports the Avon Lake City Schools performing arts organizations.
64 years later… we are still a volunteer fueled, community theatre organization that enriches our surrounding community and supports Avon Lake City School’s performing arts programs through professional quality entertainment.
By buying a ticket or sponsoring a MGP production, you are supporting the Cleveland arts, a piece of Avon Lake history, and helping us to enrich the band, choir, drama, and orchestra programs of ALCSD.
Anyone can join this storied organization on stage, back stage, or in the orchestra pit.
